Born, raised and trained in the gastronomically renowned city of Lyon, France,
Bernard Javelle is truly one of the finest French chefs of the island. He
acquired his culinary know-how by working in the following internationally
reputed restaurants: Nandron, Bourillot and Le Nord. In 1980 he opened his own
restaurants in the Lyon region: La Flanelle & Le Ciceron.
In 1988 he discovered the beauty and peacefulness of St Barts and chose to open
and manage the following restaurants on the island: Le Lagon Bleu, Le Caraibes
Café and the famed Paradisio Restaurant in Gustavia.
Now, after 30 years on the Island , Bernard is delighted to be able to
propose his talented services to all of St Bart’s food loving clientele
through StBart Chef Service & catering. His unequalled knowledge of local
products, suppliers and fisherman allow him to bring the highest standard of
quality directly to your home away from home.
